Toshiba Thrive will soon appear In the United States, a 10-inch tablet with Android 3.1 Honeycomb and the 1 GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. At first glance it differs very little from other Tegra 2 tablet, honeycomb, but Toshiba Thrive has a few unique features. You can share as the battery, which is possible only with some Windows 7 tablets. For the back covers in several different colors are available including rose, blue, purple, silver and green. The Toshiba Thrive will be available with 8GB, 16GB or a 32 GB SSD, which each cost $430, $480 and $580 in the United States. Samsung today announced the official market launch for the Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 . Accordingly, on 04 August, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 both “wifi only” and 3G version will be available. The tab comes with its own Android 3.1 and TouchWiz UX also appears to be preinstalled. Same as Samsung Reader, Music, … Hub. Also, the NVIDIA Tegra Zone should be preinstalled. Prices for the UK still not known.
In the press release, the smaller Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 also mentioned . This variant should appear later this year.
Lenovo already has LePad the last year, a tablet with the Nvidia Tegra 2 chip, but only in China. In the United States almost the same tablet will appear as Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet K1, according to poster appeared at OfficeMax, the tablet will cost $499,99. The ThinkPad Tablet K1 is a 10 inch tablet with a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels, Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of RAM and a 32GB SSD. While LePad still running Android 2.2, the K1 comes with Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
ARCHOS has presented two new tablets this evening with the ARCHOS 80 G9 and ARCHOS 101 G9 in Paris, which are quite impressive. In both the tablet plugged fast 1.5 GHz dual-core Cortex A9 4 OMAP processor from Texas Instruments, and a 250GB hard drive. This time, Archos is with Android 3.1 Honeycomb on a current operating system, including the Google Apps and Android Market. The 8-inch Archos 80 G9 will only cost $279 and the 10-inch Archos 101 G9 will be available for only $349 in late September. Together with the 8-inch Archos 80 G9, the French company Archos also introduced a new 10-inch tablet. Also in the 101 G9 Archos put the ultra-fast 1.5 GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor from Texas Instruments, and a 7mm thin 250GB hard drive. Archos has finally managed to win Google as a partner for their tablets and therefore runs on the Tablet also Android 3.x honeycomb, probably version 3.2. Again, a full-fledged USB 2.0 port is blocked, at the one you can stick UMTS modem from Archos, which will cost $ 49. An HDMI port is available and you can play Flash videos.
